In order to improve the training to drive all their bus types, including some electric ones, Roam Transit has chosen Sym2B to provide a simulator. Roam Transit operates buses around Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. The driver’s station is adjustable to every bus and will allow the driver to experience an environment close to a real vehicle. The cabin will reinforce this feeling, with the simulation of the full-scale windshield and the full view of passenger’s door. A motion system will further add to the driver’s immersion. Innovative educational features will be added in collaboration with Roam Transit trainers.
Sym2B proves with this project that it is still possible to perform foreign projects in today’s context.
